One address reaches us for everything: [email protected]. There is no contact form on this site and no ticketing system behind that address — it is a plain mailbox, read by the person who writes the pages.
What to write about
- Corrections. A wrong host plant, an out-of-date range, a bloom month that does not match your climate, a drawing that misrepresents a species. Include the page address and, where you have one, a source.
- Field notes. If a plant in one of the plans fed something unexpected, that is worth knowing. Note your rough region and the month, since both change the answer.
- Questions about the plans. If a constraint in your garden is not covered — heavy clay, salt wind, a very short season — say so and we will look at whether it is worth a plan of its own.
- Permissions. Quoting a short passage with a link back is fine and needs no email. Anything beyond that — republishing, translation, commercial use of an illustration — write first.
- Privacy and legal. Requests under the GDPR or CCPA, or questions about the terms, go to the same address and are handled as described in the privacy policy.
What we cannot do
We cannot identify a species from a photograph with any confidence, and we will not guess. We do not give pesticide or herbicide recommendations — that is a job for your local extension service and the product label. We do not accept sponsored posts or paid links, and we do not sell advertising space directly: ads on this site are placed through a network, not negotiated here.
Response time
Corrections are usually acted on within a few days. General questions may take longer. Formal privacy requests are answered within 30 days, as the privacy policy states. If you have written and heard nothing after two weeks, write again — a message can be swallowed by a spam filter, and a repeated one usually is not.
